We are three Fifth Year Students from St Brogan's College, Bandon, Co. Cork. We all study Home Economics, which we feel has broadened our understanding of nutrition and helps us make wiser and healthier food choices each and every day.

|In 2020 we initiated our research into childhood obesity after hearing an eyeopening statistic that 1 in 4 children in Ireland were overweight or obese. From this we were determined to investigate the little changes people can take in their daily lives to help reduce the likelihood of becoming overweight or obese.

our research which has spanned over three years has revealed the causes of becoming overweight and obese, its impacts both physically and mentally on people and links between gender, age and obesity levels.
